Practical guide
Plan your Avito workflow
Observe regional search listings for a fixed city and query.
Start with a reproducible sample
Keep the city, search radius, category, and sorting mode in the observation record.
- Define one target, a permitted task, and the settings that must remain fixed.
- Check the exit IP and location, then run the complete task in the intended client.
- Record valid results, errors, traffic, and timing. Change one setting at a time.
- Scale only after the sample meets your acceptance criteria and the traffic budget.
What makes the test meaningful
Track listing ID, seller type, stated location, price, and timestamp; distinguish promoted placement from the normal sort order.
Limits to account for
Nearby cities and promoted listings can alter the first results. An IP location does not override every manually selected search filter.
Example: a fixed local search
Choose a permitted search such as used bicycles in Kazan. Fix the category, city, search radius, price range, and sorting mode before the first observation. Save the query and selected filters with the timestamp. Use listing identifiers for comparison; titles are editable and two different sellers may use nearly identical wording.
Capture each listing’s URL, stated location, displayed price, seller category, and placement in the observed results. Keep promoted placements distinguishable from the ordinary ordering. When comparing another city, create a separate labelled sample and leave the category and product criteria unchanged so the geographic question remains understandable.
Common sources of false conclusions
A search radius can include neighbouring settlements, while a seller’s stated location may differ from the city selected in your filter. Preserve both instead of replacing either with the proxy’s exit location. If the results broaden or the interface suggests another city, record that change before comparing counts or positions.
A moved listing, changed price, duplicate advertisement, or promoted card can alter the first results without a network change. Do not treat the number of visible cards as the total supply of a market. An inaccessible contact action also says little about public listing availability; investigate authorised contact workflows separately when they belong to your project.
Define an accepted listing observation
An accepted record identifies the listing, query, city, radius, category, sort order, visible price, stated seller location, and time. Save the observed position only within that declared query. If the page opens a verification or sign-in screen, retain it as an incomplete observation rather than filling the row with previous values.
Before collecting a longer history, manually inspect records from the beginning and end of a small run. Check whether filtering and sorting survived navigation. Report new, changed, and unavailable listings separately, and describe the sample’s limits. This keeps a local monitoring project useful without implying verified seller identity, completed transactions, or guaranteed current stock.
| Task | Starting configuration | Verify before scaling |
|---|---|---|
| Independent regional observations | Chosen country; rotation between samples | Exit-IP location, valid response content, and traffic per result |
| Login or another multi-step session | Continuous session; consistent browser profile | IP continuity, cookies, authentication, and account permissions |
Avito: questions before launch
What should I verify when testing Avito?
Track listing ID, seller type, stated location, price, and timestamp; distinguish promoted placement from the normal sort order.
Should I keep one IP or rotate it?
Use a continuous session for login and other multi-step tasks. Test rotation between independent requests. Verify the exit IP in your application; connection settings and a fixed address are different things.
Does a proxy guarantee access or a successful outcome?
Nearby cities and promoted listings can alter the first results. An IP location does not override every manually selected search filter.
Residential traffic pricing
Choose the plan that matches your workflows
The rate depends on traffic volume. Check the final amount and available payment methods in your dashboard before payment.
