How to Set Up Proxy on Android Using Super Proxy

Why Use Super Proxy

Super Proxy is an Android application designed to connect a smartphone through HTTP and SOCKS proxies. It allows you to create multiple profiles, quickly switch between them, and use proxies without manually changing the device's network settings. The application does not require root access.

Compared to configuring a proxy through Wi-Fi settings, using a dedicated application is more convenient if you need to change configurations regularly or work with multiple profiles. All settings are stored within the application, so there is no need to re-enter the data each time you switch between profiles.

Application Features

Super Proxy supports the main functions required for connecting to proxy servers:

• creating and storing multiple profiles;

• support for HTTP and SOCKS protocols;

• connecting to proxies with username and password authentication;

• applying proxy settings to applications without obtaining root access;

• quick switching between saved configurations.

Setting Up a Proxy in Super Proxy

1. Install the Application

Download Super Proxy from Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scheler.superproxy) and launch it after installation.

In the profile creation form, specify the following:

• Protocol — the protocol to use (HTTP or SOCKS, depending on your proxy type and the application's capabilities);

• Server (Host) — the proxy server address;

• Port — the port number;

• Username and Password — the authentication credentials, if required.

After filling in all the fields, tap the save icon in the upper-right corner.

After the connection has been successfully established, a VPN icon will appear in the status bar. This indicates that the application has created a local network connection to route traffic through the selected proxy.

Verifying the Connection

To make sure the connection has been configured correctly, open a browser and visit any IP address checking service (2ip.io). If the displayed IP address matches the address of the proxy server you are using, the configuration has been completed correctly.
